Pray for our kids

Every child. One school year.
A community committed to prayer.

PUT ON THE ARMOR

Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.
Ephesians 6:11-12

As we pray for our kids, we remember that their greatest need isn't simply protection from difficult circumstances. They need Jesus. So we pray for their hearts, their faith, their relationships, their choices, and the people who influence them.

The 6:12 Prayer

The 6:12 Prayer

MAKE 6:12 YOUR PRAYER TIME

Set an alarm for 6:12 AM or 6:12 PM and use that moment as a reminder to stop and pray for the child you're committed to praying for.

It doesn't have to be a long prayer. Take a minute. Take five minutes. Pray while you're getting ready for work, driving home, making dinner, or sitting quietly at the end of your day.

The goal isn't perfection. It's consistency.

Help this become a habit

Set an alarm

Use 6:12 AM or PM as your daily reminder.

Pair prayer with something you already do

Pray while drinking your morning coffee, commuting, walking the dog, or getting ready for bed.

Keep their name somewhere visible

Put their name in your Bible, planner, phone, or somewhere you'll see it regularly.

Pray together

If you're a parent or guardian, invite your child to pray with you. If you're praying for someone else's child, consider asking the family how you can pray specifically for them.

Write down what you're praying for

Keep a short list of specific things you're asking God to do in their life. Add to it throughout the year and take time to look back at how God has answered your prayers.

Don't give up when you miss a day

A missed day isn't a failed commitment. Just start again the next day.

NEED SOMEWHERE TO START?

You don't have to know everything your student is facing to pray for them. Use these simple prompts as a starting point and ask God to show you how to pray specifically for your student.

🙏 Faith

Pray that they would know Jesus, grow in their faith, and learn to trust God in every season.

🛡️ Protection

Pray for God's protection over their mind, heart, relationships, choices, and daily life.

❤️ Friendships

Pray for healthy friendships and for people who will encourage them, challenge them, and point them toward Jesus.

🧠 Wisdom

Pray for wisdom in their decisions, discernment in difficult situations, and courage to choose what is right.

💪 Strength

Pray that they would have strength and perseverance when school, relationships, or life feel difficult.

🎯 Purpose

Pray that they would discover their gifts, understand their identity in Christ, and recognize how God can use their life.

🌱 Growth

Pray for growth—not just academically, but emotionally, relationally, and spiritually.

🙌 The Year Ahead

Pray for God's guidance over the opportunities, challenges, transitions, and decisions they will face this school year.

MOST IMPORTANTLY

Pray for them by name.

You don't need the perfect words. God knows your student, knows what they're facing, and knows what they need.

You pray. God works.
