I’m so thankful God hasn’t left us in the dark. There are some facts that we can build our lives upon things we can know. We know that our Redeemer lives, we know that He is the Savior, and he is the one who came to pay the price for our sins and keeps us in his care.

Thirdly, I’d like you to consider this for today. And that is this, that God wants us to know his future plans for our lives.

The Bible says in Second Corinthians chapter five, verse one, four, we know that if the tent that is our earthly home is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

Now what he’s talking about here, if you read the context, is our bodies. And he’s saying that if these bodies are no longer with us, that’s all right. Because when we leave this body, we have a body prepared by God in heaven. He wants us to be assured that our salvation does mean an eternal life with God forever.

The Bible tells us in First John, chapter three, verse two, a little more about these heavenly bodies, beloved, we are God’s children. Now, and what we shall be has not yet appeared. But we know that when he appears, we shall be like Him because we will see him as he is.

We are going to be like Jesus. What does that mean? I think it means that we are going to have bodies that are like His, immortal, incorruptible, eternal, our new life with the Lord will last forever. And we will live in bodies that are like his.

And finally, in First John, chapter five, verse 13. Let’s close with this assurance. I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know, you have eternal life.

Yes, Jesus Christ wants you to know that your blessings on earth and they may be many are only the beginning of what he has done for us. We have the promise of eternal life with him, and we will be with the Lord forever. And it’s not arrogant to say it, you can let people know the truth. You know, you have eternal life.
