In light of the recent and developing news regarding the COVID-19 or coronavirus there have been changes to almost all aspects of how we do ministry. Here is a letter from our pastor regarding our current approach in moving forward. All of which is subject to change as we respond to developments and events in real-time.
In an effort to be proactive and put the health and safety of our friends and family at the forefront, we have decided to cancel all in-person gatherings until it is deemed safe again. However, this does not mean the church is going to disappear by any means! We are committed to finding new and innovative ways to stay connected and, most importantly, go after Jesus together!
We will be hosting a live stream of our weekly services on Sunday mornings at 10a & 12p on our Facebook page and YouTube Channel. This will include powerful worship, a great message and weekly opportunities to stay connected! We can all come together in unity and worship together while we interact in real time with each other! During the live stream you will be able to chat with and encourage one another as well have an opportunity to talk/pray with our prayer team!
We are launching what we are calling “online community groups” that gather using Zoom (video chat) technology at different days and times throughout the week. These groups will discuss and unpack the live-streamed message from that previous Sunday with engaging conversation topics that our whole church will journey together through each week. To sign up to host or to join an Online Community Group, visit https://www.bridgechurchnj.org/onlinegroups
Kids & Youth:
Bridge Kids and Youth have it tough during this shut-in season! We are going to do our best to keep them engaged as we send them original content, including a video encouragement from a leader and discussion questions that go along with each Sunday live-stream! The idea is that you can “go to church” with your family by watching our 10a live stream together and then have reflection questions throughout the week for all ages and attention spans!
Join our online Facebook prayer community “The Bridge Online Prayer Group”, DM us on our social media channels (@bridgechurchnj). You can also utilize our resources tab on the website to submit a prayer request! (click here to go right to the prayer page)
Do you or someone you know have a current need? Many are in need of every-day things, such as medicine runs to the pharmacy or groceries for someone at risk. The Bridge Church has launched a community outreach team in response to the quarantine to do our best to meet needs and love others well!
If you have a need, please fill out and submit this quick online form and our response team will get back to you! (click here)
It is so important to continue worshiping in generosity in this season. This allows us to adapt and change and continue to reach the hurting and the broken in spite of our circumstances. That being said, our giving platforms will not change at all, aside from the fact that we will not be passing offering buckets for obvious reasons! The best way to continue to worship in generosity is to set up re-occurring online giving at bridgechurchnj.org/giving today! Here are a few other ways you can give.
